Moritz `mightymo` Eckert is currently a Ph.D. student in the Software and Systems Security group of Eurecom, under the supervision of Davide Balzarotti.

He obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg (Germany). During his MSc, he spent 12 months in the Seclab Group at UC Santa Barbara as a research scholar working on the angr binary analysis platform and the security evaluation of heap implementations.

Moritz is a core member of the Shellphish CTF team, participating in CTF competitions around the world.

His current research interests include Binary Analysis, Symbolic Execution, Fuzzing, Human-Assisted Vulnerability Discovery, and Automatic Exploit Generation.
